Your adventure begins in the spiritual town of Rishikesh, known for its serene vibes and the holy Ganga. Embark on a picturesque drive of approximately 6-7 hours through the winding mountain roads, passing lush green valleys and charming villages. Arrive at Chopta, famously known as the "Mini Switzerland of India." Spend the evening soaking in the tranquility of this enchanting hamlet surrounded by dense forests and snow-capped peaks. Relax overnight at your campsite or guesthouse, gearing up for the trek ahead.
Wake up to a refreshing mountain sunrise and begin your trek to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world. The 3.5 km trail is adorned with captivating views of rhododendron forests and majestic peaks. Upon reaching Tungnath, feel the spiritual aura of this ancient temple.
From Tungnath, continue for 1 km to Chandrashila Peak, standing tall at an altitude of 12,083 ft.
